kitni sooni raat hai
pighlen hain zasbaat
khamoshi main dooben hain
mere yee haalat...

kitni hoti ye raat badi
tik-tik karti jaise, ho ghadi
aahat bhi na hum sun saken
khat-khatayii jab tune, khidki meeri...2

sunne ki aadat na ho
kahne ka na ho man
paane ki khawhish na rahe
jab bechain si ho dhadkan....

kitne kisse, kitni baatein
kitne thee armaan
humne sab wo baaten ab
jab baatiin thi pehchan...

beichan na kar, majboor na kar
karde mujhe ab tu riyah
teri baahon se, tere khawboon se
mere bachpan se, teri yaddon se
jahan tha kabhi
ishq hi ishq, darmiyan....2
